What is torque calibration?

Torque calibration is the process of measuring a torque tool’s output against a certified reference standard and adjusting it so its readings stay within a defined tolerance. Accredited torque calibration confirms that a torque wrench, transducer, or screwdriver delivers the correct rotational force, with results traceable to national standards through NIST.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a torque wrench be calibrated?

A torque wrench should be calibrated at least once every 12 months, or after roughly 5,000 cycles — whichever comes first. Tools used in high-volume production, safety-critical assembly, or after any drop or overload should be recalibrated more frequently to stay within tolerance and maintain ISO 6789 compliance.


Do you provide accredited torque calibration certificates?
